Stay ahead of the problem
Prevention is the most powerful tool in dentistry
Preventative dentistry is the foundation everything else is built on. Regular cleanings, thorough exams, and consistent monitoring catch small problems before they become larger, more costly ones — and they keep the teeth and gums healthy enough to support whatever else your smile needs over time. At Surprise Dental Care, preventative care is taken seriously at every age and every stage. Dr. Ebadi and hygienist Sandra McComb approach each appointment not as a routine checkbox but as an opportunity to understand the full picture of your oral health. Early mornings and same-day scheduling mean that staying on top of your preventative care never has to compete with the rest of your life.

The benefits of preventative dentistry
Prevention is simpler, less invasive, and often less costly than treatment. The patients who invest in regular preventative care are the ones who spend less time in the dental chair over the long run.
Catch problems early
Regular exams allow Dr. Ebadi to identify decay, gum disease, and other concerns at their earliest stage, when they are easiest and least expensive to address.
Protect your long-term oral health
Consistent preventative care keeps the teeth and gums in the kind of condition that supports a healthy smile for life, reducing the likelihood of more significant treatment down the road.
A relationship built on knowing your health
Regular visits mean Dr. Ebadi and the team develop a detailed understanding of your oral health over time, making it easier to spot changes and respond before they become problems.

Most patients benefit from a cleaning and exam every six months. Patients with a history of gum disease, a higher susceptibility to decay, or active periodontal conditions may be recommended more frequent visits. Dr. Ebadi will advise on the right schedule for your individual needs.
A regular cleaning removes plaque and tartar from the surfaces of the teeth and just below the gum line in patients with healthy gums. A deep cleaning, or scaling and root planing, goes further below the gum line to remove buildup from the root surfaces of teeth affected by gum disease. Dr. Ebadi recommends a deep cleaning only when it is clinically appropriate.
While sealants are most commonly applied in younger patients, but adults can benefit from them too, particularly those with deep grooves in the back teeth or a history of cavities in those areas. Dr. Ebadi will let you know if sealants are a worthwhile option for your specific situation.
Come in! We promise, there is no judgment here. Dr. Ebadi and the team see patients at every stage of dental health, and the most important step is simply getting back on track. Your first visit will include a thorough exam and cleaning, a clear picture of where things stand, and a straightforward plan for addressing anything that needs attention.
