Welcome to Surprise Dental Care

Author: Dr. Mehrdad Ebadi

A little bit about me and how I got here

Before I opened Surprise Dental Care, I spent years traveling between dental offices across the region as an implant expert, stepping in to perform the complex procedures that other practices needed help with. Full-arch restorations, surgical implant placements, the cases that required a specific kind of experience and training. I earned my Doctorate of Dental Medicine from Midwestern University College of Dental Medicine right here in Arizona, and before that I studied Biology and Chemical Engineering at the University of Houston. That background in both science and craft has shaped the way I approach dentistry ever since.

What it gave me, beyond the clinical skills, was a clear picture of what was missing from a lot of dental care: continuity. Patients being sent from office to office, explaining their history over and over, never quite having a doctor who knew their full picture. That is what ultimately brought me here. I wanted to stop traveling and start belonging somewhere. I wanted to be the dentist my patients call first, not last. Surprise Dental Care is what that decision looks like in practice.

The team and the culture we have built together.

I am incredibly proud of the team we have assembled at Surprise Dental Care. From Judy, our office manager, who keeps everything running with efficiency and warmth, to Sandra, our hygienist, who brings genuine skill and patience to every cleaning, to Aleisha and our RDAs — Lisa, Brooke, and Madie — who show up every day ready to take care of people. We have built a very energetic and friendly culture here where patients genuinely feel welcome the moment they walk in. That is not something I take for granted, and it is something the whole team works to maintain.

When you come in, you will notice that this is not a place where you feel like a number. Patients consistently tell us in their reviews that they feel comfortable, respected, and cared for — and that is exactly the standard we hold ourselves to. We have a beverage station to make the wait a little easier, and we are always working to improve the experience. The office has been here for nineteen years and we are in the process of making it our own. Modernizing it, growing the team, and expanding our hours so that access to great care becomes easier for everyone in this community.

What we do, and why we do it at Surprise Dental Care

My favorite part of dentistry has always been surgery and restorative work — the ability to take a patient who came in with pain or missing teeth or a smile they were embarrassed by, and send them home with something they are genuinely proud of. To date, I have placed over 1,000 implants, including hundreds of full-arch cases, and I perform all of that work in-house at Surprise Dental Care. That means no referrals to outside specialists, no coordinating between multiple offices, no gaps in your care. One doctor, one team, one standard from the first appointment to the last.

Beyond implants and surgery, we offer a full range of care — preventative cleanings and exams, crowns, bridges, dentures, sedation for patients who need it, and a new patient membership plan for those without insurance. There is also a big need in this area for full-coverage restoration, and it is something I genuinely enjoy doing. Whether you are coming in for your first cleaning in years or looking for a doctor who can handle the more complex work you have been putting off, this is the practice for that.
